Did you know that booking a free walking tour can help support those in need? It’s true—when you reserve your spot, you’re not just securing a place on the tour. You’re also helping to make a difference in our local community.

How It Works

When you book your spot on my tour, there’s a $4 booking fee (taxes included). This fee ensures your place on the tour and helps me maintain the website and booking system. But the best part?

A portion of every booking supports the local community! A donation will be made to La Bouchée Généreuse, a nonprofit that supports over 1,300 families in Limoilou each week with food, clothing, and essential services.

By joining my tour, you’re not just exploring Quebec City—you’re helping fight food insecurity and giving back to those in need.

What is La bouché généreuse ?

For 28 years, La Bouchée Généreuse has supported families in need in Limoilou. With services like a food bank, community grocery store, thrift shop, and affordable optical care, they provide essential  to over 1,300 families every week.

But it’s more than just charity—it’s a place where lives are transformed. Through food assistance, affordable essentials, and programs fostering social integration, La Bouchée Généreuse helps people regain stability and a sense of belonging. Supporting this cause means making a real, lasting impact in the community.

Why This Matters to Me

I grew up in a family of five with a single dad. Yes, single dads are real—and trust me, he worked hard to make ends meet. Even Quebec’s can have a strong social safety net, things weren’t always easy. There were times when we needed a little help from community organizations (similar), and that support truly made a difference.

Now that I’m in a position to give back, I try to do the same. I believe tourism can be more than just seeing new places—it’s about connecting with the community and leaving a positive mark. Supporting local causes like La Bouchée Généreuse is just one way we can make a difference together. Life’s all about helping where you can, because you never know when the tables might turn.

Small Action, Big Impact

Thanks to travelers like you, we’ve been able to donate thousands of dollars to La Bouchée Généreuse. Every booking adds up, making a real difference for families right here in our community. And even if you don’t laugh at all of my jokes (trust me, I’m used to it), just tell yourself, “Well, at least I did a good thing today!” Besides, you’re getting the full Quebec City experience—charming streets, hidden gems and history, and a tour guide who somehow still believes that dad jokes are funny. So, it’s a win-win: you get to learn history, a few laughs (maybe), and the satisfaction of knowing you’re helping others along the way!
