August 1th to 4th - Old Québec (Parc de l'esplanade mostly)
For a few days each August, immerse yourself in the ancestral world of New France through a wide range of activities and novelties. Discover the Sac à dos évasion, an event that blends history with festivity, celebrating North America of the 17th and 18th centuries. Let yourself be enchanted by its architecture, exhibitions, parks, and terraces.
Free concert of Highway Star (cover band )
August 1st at Domaine de Maizeret
Don’t miss the final Jeudi Cover at Domaine Maizeret! This week, the fantastic cover band Highway Star will perform in the beautiful, local park in the Limoilou area. Enjoy craft beer from a local microbrewery and a Foodtruck and try your hand at axe throwing while you’re there. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the season!
Grand feux Loto-Québec August 1th to 24th - Infront the Saint Lawrence river on both side Québec/Lévis
The Grands Feux Loto-Québec are back with a bang from August 1 to 24, 2024, for their 28th edition. Experience this international pyromusical event that pop the sky! Enjoy a series of themed nights throughout the festival:

COMEDIHA FEST August 1 to 24 - Various venue and Location in Old Québec city mostly
This major comedy festival features a rich and varied lineup, showcasing both top-tier comedians and rising stars across multiple venues, including an outdoor stage at Place George-V. Festival-goers can enjoy fun outdoor activities like an obstacle course, a zip line, and giant games.
As the largest French-language comedy festival in North America, it’s a laughter-filled event not to be missed. If you don’t speak French, you can still join in the fun by laughing along with the crowd. Plus, there are English-language shows at Théâtre Petit Champlain, including performances by Derek Seguin, Pantelis, and Rachelle Elie, presented by Just for Laughs.
Tous dans le même bateau (Free concert up to donation for our local Homeless Shelter Lauberivière) August 2th -Agora de Québec On August 2 at 6:00 PM an evening with the best street musicians, all coming together for the "Tous dans le même bateau" benefit concert to support Lauberivière!
Let’s all get on the same boat to support the essential Lauberivière. Enjoy a fantastic, free annual show featuring top Quebec street performers including Bosko Baker, Margaret Tracteur, D'Jef Pepper Gasse, Guillaume Berger-Sidwell, Hobo Gadget Junk Band, and surprise guests!

What beats a summer night at the ballpark? Not much! Join us at Quebec's historic 1938 ballpark to cheer on our local team, Les Capitales de Quebec, celebrating their 25th season. I highly recommend trying the Emporium pizza, their beer, and Nano Cinco beer too. It's a fantastic local event that many travelers might miss by staying in Old Quebec, but you won’t because you'll be there!
CIGALE August 10-11th - Baie de Beauport
Cigale offers an great summer experience that combines Music, Food, and Beach vibes at an essential seasonal event where enjoyment and warmth are guaranteed.
This year line up feature Chet Faker, Dennis Lloyd, Fouki, Bon Entendeur, The Cat Empire, and many more.
Located on la Baie de Beauport, this festival promises a vibrant atmosphere with summer music.
Art Alive August 16-17, Chaussée des Écossais
On August 16th and 17th, come to Chaussée des Écossais for two days of free concerts and activities. If it rains, events will move indoors to the Morrin Centre ballroom. The Arts Alive! Quebec Festival celebrates its 10th year in 2024 with concerts, contests, performances, and more—all activities are free.
Superfrancofête August 15th-30th - Agora de Québec
From August 15 to 31, 2024, La SuperFrancoFête will light up the Agora du Port de Québec with an electrifying celebration of French-language music. Set against the breathtaking vistas of Old Quebec and the majestic Saint Lawrence River, this festival offers a deep dive into the vibrant world of Francophone culture. Experience a dynamic lineup of exceptional global talent and enjoy a musical journey through the diverse sounds of French-speaking artists. Oui oui!
Highlights include a special celebration of the 45th anniversary of rock opera *Starmania*, featuring major Quebec stars like Bruno Pelletier and Claude Dubois. The festival will also host top French rap artists such as IAM and Gyms for unforgettable concerts. For music enthusiasts, it's a perfect opportunity to explore new sounds and enjoy classic hits.
Festibière de Québec August 15-18th - Espace 400e Old port of Québec Undoubtedly, the largest beer festival in Quebec City, Festibière de Québec, is set to return. This annual event will transform the Quais de l’Espace 400e into a lively summer setting where you can enjoy the season’s flavors.
With nearly 100 exhibitors and two new festive zones—Le Saloon and La Cour arrière de Québec—it’s a great opportunity to end the summer with entertainment and explore a variety of brews from all the province of Québec.
NSPW 500TH Show August 23th - Stade Canac
I love wrestling and you are lucky because Quebec city has one of the best indepedent federation in the province or even the whole country. It will be the celebration of their 500th show. Crowned as Quebec's #1 wrestling promotion for the past 12 years, this event is a must-see. I'll be there, will you? Have a look also at the great wrestling exhibition at the Musée de la civilisation about wrestling in Quebec. Woooo!
Festival des Arts de la Rue de Québec August 23-25 , Domaine Maizeret
The Quebec City Street Arts Festival offers two extraordinary days of free performances and activities for the whole family, set against the stunning backdrop of Domaine de Maizerets in the heart of the Maizerets neighborhood. This vibrant event invites multidisciplinary artists to showcase their talents!
Unity Electro Fest August 30-31 - Marché Jean-Talon
Unity Electro Fest’s 3rd edition, featuring a cosmic theme with space travel and astronauts, is a must-attend for EDM fans. Headliner Afrojack will perform on an upgraded stage at the Jean-Talon Market, located in a less-traveled area of Quebec City.
